Trent Brandon Holbert was the pastor of The Ridge church in Black Mountain, NC. He began molesting a child under the age of fifteen. He tried to extort her parents by reporting them for child abuse and offering to take their daughter. He gave the parents papers that would sign their daughter over to his care. However, the child protective services found the allegations unfounded. Rather, Holbert was sexually assaulting the child.

He described rape as “somewhat inconvenient.” His actual words were, “It’s not whether a woman should be forced to bring a child to term; it’s whether a child should be allowed to live, even though the circumstances of that child’s birth are somehow inconvenient or a problem to the society.”

Sean Parnell’s run for U.S. Senate from Pennsylvania was endorsed by Donald Trump. He was accused of multiple incidents of domestic violence by his wife in their divorce and custody legal battle. She alleged that he not only abused her but the children as well, describing, under oath, a time he left a handprint mark on one child’s back. According to her, he abused her in front of the children.

Steve Marino was a Republican State Representative for Michigan District 24 until he was term limited out. He was replaced by a Republican. In 2021, he was removed from committee assignments and required to have an escort in the state capitol building after Rep. Mari Manoojian, whom he had dated the year before, filed a complaint about the harassing and threatening texts he sent her.

Child Sexual Abuse Material

Alexander Bebris was a chief of police in Ohio before moving to Wisconsin where he unsuccessfully ran for the Republican nomination for Sheriff of Outagamie County. In December 2018, investigators searched his home and found child sexual abuse images. In December 2020, he was convicted and sentenced to five years in prison, but he was out on appeal.

634: Jonathan Newell

Child Molestation, Nonconsensual Recording, Secret Photos or Recordings

Jonathan Newell, a Republican, was the circuit court judge for Caroline County in Maryland, when he took a young boy. The boy discovered a hidden camera in the bathroom and his parents went to the police. The police interviewed other boys he had invited hunting and they all told of stripping naked to be checked for ticks.

Ed Gray is the former Mayor of Gulf Breeze, FL. He also ran in the Republican primary for HD2, but lost. He pleaded no contest to eleven charges starting with eight counts of video voyeurism (he recorded teen boys in the shower,) one count of illegally installing a tracking device, one count of stalking, and one count of intercepting communications.
