Jonathan Newell, a Republican, was the circuit court judge for Caroline County in Maryland, when he took a young boy. The boy discovered a hidden camera in the bathroom and his parents went to the police. The police interviewed other boys he had invited hunting and they all told of stripping naked to be checked for ticks.
When investigators came, he chewed up and swallowed the camera card. They didn’t arrest him then but when they came back to arrest him, he shot himself.
