1357: David Paul Daniel

David Paul Daniel is an insurrectionist, one who breached the Capitol doors, leading others into the building. He has been charged with several misdemeanors as well with felony offenses of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers and civil disorder.

When he was arrested for the insurrection in November, 2023, his phone was seized and FBI investigators found child sexual abuse material on his cell phone. While they were conducting this investigation they found out the Mint Hill Police had seized a phone of his in 2021 when a minor child came forward claiming Daniel had sexually assaulted her, forcing her to engage in sexual activity while he took pictures. There were pictures of another minor child on the 2023 phone. (Why didn’t the Mint Hill Police charge him when they found pictures on his 2021 phone?)
