Ed Reinhardt was the mayor of Lockport, Louisiana. He resigned after his constant sexual harassment of a city employee was investigated by the town attorney. It got so bad she was asking other workers to stay in the office so she would not be alone with him.
He left frequent notes. One example said, “I’m going to steal me a kiss soon! And Hug! Its coming and you know it! I want you bad! I’m going to grab that fine a- – and lay a kiss on you that you never going to forget!”
The mayor admitted sending the notes. The town attorney recommended he resign. He did. Then he decided to run for office again, but he lost.
