Carter Miles Ledoux of Lake Charles, Louisiana, is a member of a white supremacist group that the Department of Justice has identified as a Nihilist Violent Extremist (NVE) organization. After a minor girl expressed support for interracial relationships on social media, Ledoux allegedly led a conspiracy with the NVE group he belongs to to stalk, harass, threaten, and swat her and her family.

1505: David Courvelle

David Courvelle was an ICE detention officer working at the South Louisiana ICE Processing Center in Basile, Louisiana. He was observed leaving a janitorial closet with one of the women under his supervision and control, a Nicaraguan woman detained at the facility

He is accused of sexually abusing the woman several times over the course of four months

1364: Taylor Lewis

Improper Conduct or Comments, Solicitation of a Minor

Taylor Lewis was the assistant police chief in Springfield, Louisiana. The Department of Children and Family Services alerted the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Department. They began an investigation and found that Lewis maintained an “inappropriate relationship” with a child through various social media platforms.

1354: Jimmy Burland

Child Sexual Abuse Material

Jimmy Burland is a Republican lobbyist and lawyer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is also a singer/songwriter and a long-time donor to Republican candidates and the party.

When his house was raided by federal agents, he claimed nothing was found.

However, he has been charged with possession of child sexual abuse material.

3123: Christopher Cassidy

Bestiality, Child Sexual Abuse Material

Christopher Cassidy was formerly a St. Tammany Parish Police Corporal in Louisiana. He worked for St. Tammany Parish Sheriffs Department since 2006 until his arrest in February, 2022. He was charged with 78 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and 111 accounts of sexual abuse of animals. In addition to finding these materials when they arrested him, his phone also had pictures of women being sexually assaulted.

Solicitation of a Minor

Bill Lunn was the Emmy=winning news director at WTBS in Shrevesport, Louisiana. He has resigned after local police initiated an investigation into him for soliciting a minor. Some young men in Shreveport created a fake online profile of a 15-year-old girl and after exchanging text with Lunn, arranged a meeting for sex.
