Kevin Tomafsky is a former aide to former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Before that he spent eight years working on Republican campaigns. He also served in leadership of his county Republican club and worked for Assemblyman Tom Fiocchi.
He was arrested in August 2023 for allegedly paying to sexually abuse a child. The child’s father was also arrested but his name has been withheld to protect the child’s identity.
He was indicted in July on charges of engaging in sexual conduct with a child, conspiracy to endanger the welfare of a child, permitting a child to engage in pornography, and possession of child pornography.
UPDATE: In July, 2025, Tomafsky pleaded guilty first-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child in a deal that agreed to a ten-year prison sentence with parole possible in five years.
