Greg Lopez, former mayor of Parker, Colorado, was a candidate in the Republican primary for governor. He is adamantly anti-choice, even at the risk of a mother’s life. However, he was arrested after he knocked his pregnant wife to the ground and kicked her.

A few weeks before the primary, his wife sought an order of protection alleging he was stalking her and threatening her, their child, and the dog. He threatened to kill the dog in front of the children. He was barred from possessing firearms as well. A week later, he got the order thrown out, just in time for the primary.

Child Sexual Abuse Material, Stalking/Harassment

In 2021, he was arrested for one count each of aggravated invasion of computer privacy, stalking, and theft by unauthorized taking as well as two counts of harassment. He was using a device issued to him by the school district. This arrest led to a second as they found child sexual exploitation material with children under twelve on his phone.

Rodney Wren was a speechwriter for Mike Pompeo. He also was a Republican candidate for the Kansas House and for Wichita City Council. He was accused of having unlawful sexual relations over two years with a teenage student while he was a teacher at Wichita Collegiate School, a private school for students from preschool through twelfth grade.

Dennis Nielsen is a gun shop owner and was a Republican primary candidate for District 11 in North Carolina’s state senate. He lost the primary. Kidnapping, Murder

Steven Pankey ran for governor as nominee of the Constitution Party in 2014. The Southern Poverty Law Center calls the Constitution Party the most extreme right party in the U.S. In 2018, he ran in the 2018 Republican fubernatorial primary. He lost. Two years later, in 2020, he was charged with the kidnapping and murder of a twelve-year-old girl. In November, 2022, he was convicted.
