A woman who was active in the Columbia County Republican Party alleged that Stout aggressively pursued her sexually with her consent to kissing and touching each other. But he pushed her and tried to rape her. His wife walked in on them before he raped her.

Giddings put her name out on Facebook. She and her family were threatened and Barbieri says the rapist always acted in accord with his ideals.

Organizational Cover-Up

He is alleged to have told a Mormon bishop not to report sexual abuse that was confessed to him by the Paul Adams. The bishop called a special help line. Nelson is alleged to have advised Arizona Bishop Herrod that he could be sued if he reported the abuse and that was Arizona law, not just church doctrine. That was false. Arizona’s abuse reporting grants blanket immunity to people who report abuse or neglect.

798: Kevin Smith

Improper Conduct or Comments, Organizational Cover-Up, Sexual Harassment

He was accused of covering for sexual harassing supervisors in a sexual harassment and disability discrimination suit. In the suit, it was claimed he made dumb blonde jokes and called one employee “porkchop.” He was accused of retaliating when a worker made an official complaint about sexual harassment by other supervisors.

Organizational Cover-Up

Gunn advised the church elders of Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton, Miss., not to report what the child molester John Langworthy told them when they investigated his tenure at their church. He told them that was privileged information that could not be revealed. That is untrue. They are obligated by law to report child molestation. He actively worked to frustrate investigators working on the Langworthy case.

775: Vernon Jones

Intimidation, Menacing, Rape

Running in the Republican Congressional primary in 2022, his opponents brought up allegations of rape that were made in 2005 by a woman who dropped the charge “out of fear.” According to her report to the police, he said he knew where she lived and he would find her. In an egregious act of police misconduct, the Dekalb County police chief whom Vernon Jones had appointed released her identity to the press with the incident report. She wrote a note saying she would not testify because of the harassment and the release of her name. She never recanted.

763: Kyle Biedermann

Familial Abuse & Violence, Improper Conduct or Comments

Kyle Biedermann was a Texas state representative from 2017 to 2023. He won the Republican primary and the general election despite court documents that allege he mentally abused his daughters and physically abused his wife. He is alleged to have gotten an erection while playing with his daughters. He confirmed that he slept nude with his daughters (ages 4 to 9). When ordered to stop, he put a bed by his bed for a daughter to sleep in as a reward. He was ordered to have no contact, not even by phone.
