Brian Eugene Hawkins is a San Jacinto city councilmember. On July 2, 2023, he was arrested for domestic violence. The caller reported he assaulted two children at his home. He was charged with felony assault.
In 2018, he approached a woman walking to her dorm after 1 a.m. and said he was a police officer and would walk her home. She demurred, but he insisted, so when she got to her dorm she went to the check-in and security chased him off. They got a picture so the police put it out and were inundated with tips identifying Cartharn. After all, he just ran for City Council.
Jim Duran is the District 6 City Councilmember in Ventura, California. He is also the lead pastor at The River Community Church in Ventura. He and his wife, Pamela, are being sued for covering up his son’s sexual abuse of her, beginning when she was fourteen.
The governor suspended him from his position until the case was resolved. While waiting for a trial, he reconciled with his wife who told prosecutors she would not testify. Leslie Shawn Brock was appointed to the Lockland City Council in 2019. He served on the finance and safety and the health and welfare committees. In September 2022, he was arrested for possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. He was uploading CSAM and the Internet Crimes Against Children tipped off the Sheriff’s Office. After a search, he was charged with ten counts of child obscenity and two counts of pandering with child pornography.

Wiscombe is charged with lewd conduct with a minor and sexual battery of a child between 16 and 17 years of age, both punishable with up to life in prison, and video voyeurism, punishable with up to five years in prison. He was charged with misdemeanor sexual battery against both victims, with one of the charges forming a separate case.
Donald Edward McKinney was a member of the Pickens City Council in Pickens County, South Carolina since 2014. He also served as Mayor Pro Tem. In 2022, he was arrested and charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Peter van Vliet is a Republican who was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Holyoke City Commission in 2014 and was re-elected, most recently in 2019. He also coached cross country, youth lacrosse and junior varsity basketball at Annunciation Catholic School, though not since Spring 2019. In December 2019, he was arrested and charged with 12 counts of possessing child sex abuse material (CSAM). He had 12 videos of children as young as two engaged in sex acts with other children or adults.
Matthew McIlravy was elected Mayor of Pilot Point, TX, in May 2022. Prior to that he served on the City Council. He was endorsed by the Denton County Republicans. A month later he was arrested for soliciting a minor, a child under the age of 14. Investigators believed that he may have communicated with more children.
Patrick Trowbridge was a City Councilor in Rockwell, Texas. He had filed for re-election in 2020 and was running unopposed. But then The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a tip to the Rockwell police that someone in Rockwell was sending multiple videos of child sex abuse material. They tracked the IP address to Trowbridge, got a search warrant and found material on his phone. He pleaded guilty to one count of possessing CSAM and was sentenced to ten years in prison and 10 supervised release.
