Chris Simcox worked for Doug Ducey. He ran against John McCain in the Arizona Republican primary. He argued McCain was not conservative enough. Simcox founded the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps to patrol the southern border. Initially, they claimed to only work to give Border Patrol evidence and tips for them to follow up. However, they radicalized, promised to go to the border “locked and loaded,” and like many grifting organizations raised money for a border wall they never built.

603: Mathew Palmer

Mathew Palmer was the former Chief Operating Officer of the Maryland Department of Commerce. Before that, he was an aide to Republican Governor Larry Hogan. When Hogan appointed him, he said, “Mathew Palmer is an accomplished and well-rounded professional who possesses a deep understanding of the legislative process and issues. I am proud to welcome him to our administration and look forward to working with him during this upcoming session.” Palmer also was a prolific poster in child sex abuse message boards and had more than a thousand images and videos himself.

601: Rick Dennis

Sexual Harassment

Rick Dennis is a lobbyist at HillCo Partners in Austin, Texas. Before that he worked as a staffer for Republican Rep. Tan Parker. He was accused of using GBH on two legislative staffers, but was cleared by a legislative investigation. The investigation, however, revealed a severe pattern of sexual harassment and abuse.

585: Rodney Wren

Rodney Wren was a speechwriter for Mike Pompeo. He also was a Republican candidate for the Kansas House and for Wichita City Council. He was accused of having unlawful sexual relations over two years with a teenage student while he was a teacher at Wichita Collegiate School, a private school for students from preschool through twelfth grade.

580: Martin (Marty) Peterson

Child Sexual Abuse Material

Martin (Marty) Peterson was the Idaho State Budget Director with a long history in Republican political circles, working for Senator Frank Church, Governors Andrus and Evans. That may be why he got 90 days in jail and a ten-year suspended sentence despite pleading guilty to two counts of possessing child sexual abuse material. He admitted to looking at images of children ages 10 to 12 being sexually abused and tortured for years.

555: Ruben Verastigui

Child Sexual Abuse Material

Ruben Verastigui was a digital strategist for the Senate Republican Conference. He also worked as a senior designer for the Republican National Committee. He made Trump MAGA ads. He also was active in the antiabortion movement, working for March for Life, Students for Life, and Live Action. He was arrested for possessing and sharing child exploitation material. He pled guilty and was sentenced to 151 months.

486: Rene Pedrosa

Child Molestation, Child Sexual Abuse Material, Solicitation of a Minor

Rene Pedrosa was a spokesperson for Miami Mayor Francis Suarez until he was charged with battery (groping) a minor and sending that minor a pornographic image. Those were state charges, then the federal government filed additional charges that include producing child pornography, receiving child pornography, and enticing a minor into sexual activity.

481: Glenn Aronow

Sexual Harassment

Glenn Aronow was an aide to New York Republican State Senator Maziarz who was majority leader at the time. A co-worker sued him, Sen. Marianz, and the NY Attorney General due to the sexual harassment he subjected her to on the job. She alleged that he sexually harassed her daily, touching her, making sexual comments and threats and showing her pornography on his computer. One time he locked the door when the two were alone in the office, frightening her.

426: Andrew Knarr

Andrew Knarr was an aide to Colorado Republican state senator Jim Smallwood until he was fired for mocking sexual harassment and making a homophobic slur. He posted a photo on social media complaining “and they aren’t even gonna show me the proper way to grab a woman’s ass. This is fucking gay.” Sen. Smallwood fired…
