Mathew Palmer was the former Chief Operating Officer of the Maryland Department of Commerce. Before that, he was an aide to Republican Governor Larry Hogan. When Hogan appointed him, he said, “Mathew Palmer is an accomplished and well-rounded professional who possesses a deep understanding of the legislative process and issues. I am proud to welcome him to our administration and look forward to working with him during this upcoming session.” Palmer also was a prolific poster in child sex abuse message boards and had more than a thousand images and videos himself.
Palmer uploaded images and participated in the forum not just from home but from his state government computer. The details on Chesapeake Today are gross. He pleaded guilty to distribution of child sexual abuse materials and was sentenced to eight years plus twenty years of supervised release. He must register as a sex offender where he lives and works.
