604: Andrew John Jones

Andrew John Jones was a Seminole County Assistant State Attorney who ran for judicial office. A seventeen-year-old girl was volunteering on his campaign and he raped her. However, he was able to plea to having sex with a minor and tampering with evidence.

The victim said she still had nightmares about it and that her life would never be the same. But this sweetheart deal meant that Andrew John Jones would not spend time in jail. He instead got two years of community control and eight years probation. Community control means the person lives at home and is allowed to travel to a few specific locations.
