1409: Ned B. Hansen

Ned B. Hansen was the fire chief in Tremonton, Utah and at Jackson Hole before that. In January 2025, he was arrested after allegedly sharing child sexual abuse material. Despite the advice of police and the district attorney, he was released by the judge, who turned out to be his alleged partner in preying on children, #1408 Kevin Christensen. Incredibly, the Judge Christensen did not disclose his sexual relationship with Hansen. Less surprisingly, he also did not disclose their alleged mutual interest in child sexual abuse material. Hansen was charged with eight counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. He is now being held without bail in Weber County Jail.

1408: Kevin Christensen

Kevin Christensen was a justice court judge in four different Utah municipalities. In 2013, he was censured for quadruple-dipping, so to speak, collecting more than what is allowed by law. He was ordered to repay his overpayment. He was arrested in March 2025 for six sex crimes involving children: two counts of attempted exploitation of a minor, two counts of enticing a minor and two counts of dealing materials harmful to a minor. He is being held without bail.

1407: Daniel Merrick

Daniel Merrick is a Messianic Jewish (Christian) pastor, musician, former Christian television host, and a songwriter in Smethport, Pennsylvania. He has also been charged with more than 800 counts relating to child sexual abuse material. Specifically, he is charged with 570 counts of child pornography — involving indecent contact, second-degree felonies; 316 counts of child pornography — involving nudity, third-degree felonies; and one count of criminal use of a communications facility, a third-degree felony.

1406: Michael Tait

Michael Tait is a contemporary Christian music star with nearly twenty albums of Christian rock music. He was one of the Evangelicals for Trump who rallied to support him. He also was one of the evangelicals who prayed for him publicly after the Ukraine scandal was revealed. He signed a letter denouncing Christianity Today for criticizing Trump over Ukraine.

He is on hiatus after three men came forward alleging he had groomed and sexually assaulted them, allegations Tait has said are “largely true.”

1405: Joshua Dice

Grooming, Solicitation of a Minor

Joshua Dice was a teacher at Calvary Christian Academy as well as an employee of Calvary Baptist Church in Middleburg, Florida. He was arrested in June 2025, charged with using a computer to solicit a child for unlawful sexual contact, unlawful use of a two-way communication device and traveling to meet a minor for sex (rape.)

1404: David Finkel

David Finkel was the Vice-President of the Shelbyville, Indiana, School Board and a former Republican primary candidate for mayor in 2023. He stepped down from the school board after he was arrested in June 2025 and charged with possession of child sexual abuse material and sexual exploitation of a minor.

1402: Judd Stone

Judd Stone was the Solicitor General of Texas. He defended the Texas abortion bounty to the Supreme Court by arguing that just knowing an abortion takes place causes such distress that it rises to a “tort of outrage.” Not only can someone whose feelings are hurt by hearing about an abortion, they can sue anyone involved, no matter how tenuous the link, for example. a taxi driving taking someone to a clinic. That guy. He was forced to resign amid allegations of sexual harassment from two women. The allegations are lurid as you can deduce from the headlines in the news stories. 1401: John Denzel

John Denzel was the “safe environment manager” for St. Brigid of Kildare, a Catholic school in Dublin, Ohio. In that role, he did background checks on potential employees and volunteers. He also did sexual abuse awareness training for staff, parents, and volunteers. The Internet Archive has a description of the program that used to be on the schools site. He had worked at the school for many years in different roles, including providing supervision for “latchkey” kids. He was fired in 2024 after his arrest for fifteen charges relating to child sexual abuse material.

1400: David G. McConkie

David G. McConkie was a deputy district attorney and the president of the Colorado Springs East Stake of the Mormon Church. He left the D.A.’s office for private practice. In 2023, he was arrested for sexual assault of a child. He was charged with two counts of sexually assaulting a child for nine years, from 2004 to 2013, beginning when the child was an infant. He will serve no jail time thanks to a plea agreement that allowed him to plead guilty to one count of attempting to sexual assault a child. He was sentenced in July, 2025.
