1378: Ryan D. Jenks

Ryan D. Jenks

Ryan DeWayne Jenks is the co-owner and co-founder of Brighter Future Health, Inc. in Boise, Idaho. Brighter Future offers mental health services to children, teens, and adults. In 2014, he won the Republican primary for Idaho House District 18, but he lost the general election. He was also active in the Disobey Idaho protests of stay-at-home orders when COVID first appeared.

In February 2025, Ada County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jenks. He is charged with three felony counts: lewd conduct with a child under 16, and two counts of sexual abuse of a minor under 16 years of age. According to the officers the girl was twelve when this happened back in 2016. He is alleged to have abused her four times.

In February 2026, he pleaded guilty to one charge of lewd contact with a minor under sixteen. This was a nice deal for Jenks as he will be eligible for parole in just three years. He was sentenced to twenty years, but only three are fixed. The rest are “indeterminate,” i.e. eligible for parole.
