He lost the general election, though it didn’t help when voters found out that he was arrested in Nashville for public intoxication. According to the police report, police were called after he “grabbed and squeezed and employee’s breast.”

Ryan D. Jenks is the co-owner and co-founder of Brighter Future Health, Inc. in Boise, Idaho. Brighter Future offers mental health services to children, teens, and adults. In 2014, he won the Republican primary for Idaho House District 18, but he lost the general election. He was also active in the Disobey Idaho protests of stay-at-home orders when COVID first appeared.

870: Sandy Smith

Familial Abuse & Violence

Sandy Smith won the Republican primary for North Carolina’s First Congressional District only to lose in the general. Two ex-husbands and her daughter have accused her of domestic violence. Her daughter filed for a protective order claiming that Smith “held me down by my hair and punched me in the face with a closed fist.” The protection order has been dismissed and she and her daughters are, according to Smith, on good terms.
