Matthew Stephen Masiewicz (Pastor Matt) was the senior pastor at Sovereign Grace Fellowship, an Reformed Baptist Church in Nampa, Idaho. According to their website, they occasionally have their men’s fellowship meetings at the gun range. He was removed from his position when he was arrested for possession, distribution, and creation of child sexual abuse materials. Those he created were done with AI.

1378: Ryan D. Jenks

Ryan D. Jenks is the co-owner and co-founder of Brighter Future Health, Inc. in Boise, Idaho. Brighter Future offers mental health services to children, teens, and adults. In 2014, he won the Republican primary for Idaho House District 18, but he lost the general election. He was also active in the Disobey Idaho protests of stay-at-home orders when COVID first appeared.

1322: Trevor Ranere

Trevor Aaron Ranere was a Bannock County Sheriff’s Deputy. He is accused of sexual abusing a sixteen-year-old girl. According to the girl’s statement, she was working at an assisted living facility and called to report a prowler. Renare answered the call.

1286: Spencer Greendyke

Spencer Greendyke is an orthopedic surgeon in Couer d’Alene, Idaho. His practice website has been taken down and his name removed from local hospitals list of doctors after his arrest in early April, 2024. An employee discovered digital storage devices that contained video from hidden cameras that captured people undressing. He was charged with two counts sexual exploitation of a child by preparing child sexual exploitation materials and six counts of video voyeurism. All are felonies.

Organizational Cover-Up

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, often called the Mormon Church, has protected and shielded child predators repeatedly. In December, 2023, The Associated Press did a story exploring just one of the many times the LDS Church has intervened to protect predators. The case they write about is unique in having recordings of the church’s efforts.

1204: Wade Schvaneveldt

Child Rape

Wade Lee Schvaneveldt was a teacher and basketball coach at Soda Points School District #150. He was charged with 20 felony charges after a student he groomed and raped went to the police. He requested a change of venue and his wife testified how the allegations came out at a school board meeting before his arrest. That request was denied.

Robert Stahn founded Wellspring Counseling Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. One of his specialties is counseling trauma victims, including sexual abuse trauma. So it was ironic that he pleaded guilty to sexual abusing vulnerable women who were under his counseling supervision.

1131: Dakota Kennemer

Dakota Kennemer was a youth pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Idaho Falls, ID. He is being investigated for an inappropriate relationship with a minor from 2019 to 2022. When it came to the attention of the church, they met with him and he confessed to sexually touching the victim. He was fired. This was in December, 2022.

1032: Byron Wiscombe

Child Molestation, Child Rape, Nonconsensual Recording

Wiscombe is charged with lewd conduct with a minor and sexual battery of a child between 16 and 17 years of age, both punishable with up to life in prison, and video voyeurism, punishable with up to five years in prison. He was charged with misdemeanor sexual battery against both victims, with one of the charges forming a separate case.

991: Gerald Fairbanks

Gerald Fairbanks was an Ada County Deputy for twenty years until he retired in 2011. Boise is in Ada County. In December 2022, he was arrested and charged with several counts of child sex abuse. The allegations involve two different children, both of whom were under twelve during the time they were allegedly abused.
