Child Indecency, Child Molestation, Child Rape

Gary Clark is the former Mayor of Zillah, Washington and an officer of the Yakima County Republicans. He was the mayor for a decade in the 80s into the 90s and then again from 2004 to 2017. He was arrested in March, 2021 and charged with one count of rape of a child and indecent exposure. His victim was 4 years old. There is a witness to the sex act and video evidence of him exposing himself to the child.

705: Mike Groene

Sexual Harassment

Mike Groene was a Nebraska state senator. A legislative aide filed a complaint that he had taken inappropriate pictures of her while in their state office. The photos were taken secretly and without her permission. She found the photos on his computer and saw he had mailed them to other people with sexual captions. He resigned both from the senate and from his campaign for Nebraska University Board of Regents.

703: Greg Locke

Familial Abuse & Violence

Greg Locke is a Trump-loving internet pastor who pulls stunts like berating customer service people in Target over gender neutral bathrooms or having a meltdown because someone donated to Planned Parenthood in his name. Folks might remember him as the pastor who said there were witches in his church. He also said you cannot be a Christian and vote Democratic. His ex-wife shared abusive texts he sent her and alleged he was physically and emotionally abusive. His wife fled and lived in a women’s shelter. The print press is full of profiles of him that leave out his ex-wife’s claims and normalize his fanaticism.

702: Ryan Utterback

Child Indecency, Child Molestation, Familial Abuse & Violence

Ryan Utterback is an anti-gay activist and advocate for banning books. He was featured on rightwing media until he was arrested for distributing pornography to a minor and child molestation. He was also charged with domestic assault. Three different incidents with children are described in the police probable cause statement.

701: Kristopher Coody

Sexual Battery

Kristopher Coody is the Sheriff of Bleckley County, Georgia. In January 2022, while attending a Georgia Sheriff’s Association conference, he allegedly groped a woman’s breast without her consent. This took place at the bar in the hotel where the conference was held. He is charged with sexual battery. He admitted he did it.

700: Garrett Soldano

Rape Culture

Garrett Soldano, a candidate in the Michigan Republican primary for governor in 2022, opposes abortion and opposes exceptions for rape or incest. He thinks women who are raped and become pregnant should feel inspired that God put them in that situation. Who knows? They could be carrying the next president. As he put it, we need to “defend the DNA.” Yes, he is committed to defending rapists’ DNA.

699: Bernie Alimenti

Coercion

Bernie Alimenti was a city councilman in Fort Myers, Florida. He offered to help a woman move from one public housing apartment to another in exchange for sex. She was an informant and the conversation was taped. He was arrested and charged with influence-peddling for sex. Prosecutors asked for a year in prison, but the judge gave him five years probation and community service.

698: Jim Maloof

Sexual Harassment

Jim Maloof was the Mayor of Peoria. The city settled a sexual harassment suit after his secretary accused him of unwanted kisses and hugs and of making inappropriately personal lewd comments. In 1993, 37 female city employees complained to the Illinois Department of Human Rights and the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that Maloof and other officials had engaged in sexual discrimination and harassment.
