Gary Clark is the former Mayor of Zillah, Washington and an officer of the Yakima County Republicans. He was the mayor for a decade in the 80s into the 90s and then again from 2004 to 2017. He was arrested in March, 2021 and charged with one count of rape of a child and indecent exposure. His victim was 4 years old. There is a witness to the sex act and video evidence of him exposing himself to the child.
This prompted an adult woman to come forward alleging he raped her an estimated 50 times from when she was 4 until she was 8 years old.
Trial is set for June 26th, 2023. Case Numbers: 21-1-00453-39 & 21-1-00488-39.
A continuance was granted in June. The trial is now set for February 26. 2024.
UPDATE: He pleaded guilty to February 2025 and was sentenced in March. He will serve six months for raping two children.
