Doug McLeod was arrested in 2017 for hitting his wife in the face. She claimed it was because she didn’t undress quickly enough when he wanted sex. Steve Sword is a Tennessee Criminal Court judge appointed by Governor Bill Haslem, a Republican. Since his appointment, he was re-elected in 2012 and 2014 and he was unopposed in 2022. In 2019, he presided over a trial that ended in the conviction of David Lynn Richards Jr,. a former pastor, for repeatedly raping his adopted daughter.

Gerald Antinoro is the sheriff of Storey County, Nevada. He has served four terms but did not run for re-election in Nov. 2022, so will be ending his service at year’s end. This is extraordinary considering at least five women have accused him of rape and the county has had to pay hundreds of thousands to settle sexual harassment complaints.
Josiah Magnuson attacked and harassed a fellow SC state representative Nancy Mace after she testified about her experience of being raped as a teenager. She had proposed a rape and incest exception to an anti-abortion bill and Magnuson sent out materials arguing that the misdeeds of the parents should not punish the fetus.
Trice Harvey was a Republican California state representative. The state Legislature paid $10,000 to settle a sexual harassment complaint. His defenders claimed that there was an misunderstanding of what is funny. The complainant said she was subject to two years of offensive remarks. She signed a confidentiality agreement that Harvey ignored going to the press with claims of innocence, claiming she was fired and her suit was retaliation. This infuriated her since she could not discuss the details of why she filed a claim.
