Andrew Buhr, Republican committeeman for Hadley Township in Missouri and an unsuccessful GOP nominee for the Missouri House in 2000, was arrested for statutory sodomy. He did not deny having sex with the thirteen-year-old boy but claimed he thought he was older. Enough on the jury thought it was possible to mistake a thirteen-year-old child for an adult for a mistrial.
