1381: Justin Eichorn

Justin Eichorn

Justin Eichorn was a Minnesota State Senator from 2017 until he resigned in 2025 after his arrest for soliciting a minor for sex.

His other claim to fame is introducing a bill to classify “Trump Derangement Syndrome” as a mental illness. You can see the bill here, though they have removed his name, perhaps since he is no longer in the Senate.

He was caught in the usual police sting where a police officer pretends to be a minor and agrees to meet a predator so they can be arrested. The officer repeatedly told the officer she was not 18 yet, but he still solicited a meeting with her for sex. He was charged with soliciting a minor for prostitution.

In a notable departure from national Republicans in Congress regarding Matt Gaetz, the Republicans in the Minnesota Senate called for Eichorn’s resignation.

He has pled not guilty and suggested he was immune to prosecution because he is a lawmaker and his prosecution violates his first amendment right to run for office. He also argued for dismissal claiming vindictive prosecution. The other non-political men who were arrested that night also were indicted and two others were also from from state to federal court.
