224: Jack Ryan

Jack Ryan was the Republican candidate for Senate running against Barack Obama in 2004. That campaign was derailed when the media won disclosure of his divorce settlement with ex-wife Jeri Ryan. In the divorce, she stated that he forced her to go to swingers clubs and pressured her to have sex while others watched. This project does not shame kinks, but coercion makes this sexually predatory. Ryan denied the allegations.

He withdrew from the race and was replaced by Alan Keyes, an out-of-state candidate whose loss to Obama was so absolute it gave rise to the Keyes Constant. He was such a bad candidate that the 27% of the vote he got was surprisingly large persuading pundits that there was a 27% Crazification Factor.
