Former Lake County GOP Chairman and Green Oaks Mayor Tom Adams was sentenced in a plea deal to possession of child pornography, dropping the charges for distribution of child pornography. He was sentenced to 30 intermittent days in the county work-release program, a $10,000 fine, psychological treatment, and 200 hours of community service. This was for 16 counts of possession of child pornography that had a possible sentence of 14 years.
