John Bryan, a Republican city councilman in St. Petersburg, was accused by a woman who claimed Bryan began sexually abusing her while she was a minor and that he sexually assaulted his two adoptive daughters. When the allegations came out, he resigned from the City Council. Before the police arrested him, he killed himself.
