Brad Gerten was a Republican candidate for the Minnesota state House when he was arrested for trying to strangle his step-son. A fight over pizza! He was booked for domestic assault and strangulation.
As often happens with domestic violence cases, no one pressed charges and no criminal complaint was filed. However, Gerten spent a couple days in jail waiting for arraignment or release.
