Randall Hunt was appointed to lead the Florida lottery by Republican Governor Ron DeSantis. However, appointments like that require confirmation by the Florida Senate. A background check revealed the police had investigated him for domestic violence. When asked if he had been subject to an investigation, he said no, which was untrue.

Robert Anderson Strickland

R. A. Strickland or Andy Strickland was the Republican sheriff of Colleton County, South Carolina, was charged with domestic violence after punching a family member in the face several times. A year later, he was charged with more than a dozen offenses including official misconduct, using his position for financial gain and sex, use of public fund to influence an election, distribution of drugs, and embezzlement.

Daniel Rodimer is the retired professional wrestler Dan Rodman and an unsuccessful Republican candidate for Congress. He’s also been accused of domestic violence though no charges were filed and he remains married to his wife who twice called the police. Before that, a neighbor called police on him when he was fighting with a former girlfriend. He also has three assault charges and he pleaded no contest to one of them.

Monica Wehby was an Oregon Republican candidate for U.S. Senate. She was accused of stalking her ex-boyfriend and harassing her ex-husband. She was accused of breaking into her ex-boyfriend’s home and harassing his employees. He considered getting a protective order but decided against it. He supported her campaign. He ex-husband also called the police and accused her of harassment and violence, slapping him, pulling his hair, throwing things at him. She was not arrested. She said that this just proves she stands up for what she believes.

Todd Poole was the Executive Director of the North Carolina Republican Party and later went to work for several Republican officials. In 2019, he was working for U. S. Rep. Ted Budd when he was arrested for domestic violence and charged with assault. The charge was dismissed when the woman withdrew her complaint.

He is the person who doctored a video of Nancy Pelosi, slowing down her words to make her seem drunk. He was on probation at the time after pleading guilty to domestic violence in California. He did not complete the terms of his probation, so there is an outstanding warrant in California.

Doug McLeod was arrested in 2017 for hitting his wife in the face. She claimed it was because she didn’t undress quickly enough when he wanted sex. There is police video of her bloody face and her claims, while crying, that this happens often when he drinks. He is still in office at least until 2024 as he ran unopposed.
