David Kellett was President of the Wyoming 9-12 Project, an organization started by Glenn Beck, and active in the Tea Party opposition to President Obama’s health care reform. He also ran for the Wyoming state House of Representatives in 2010 and 2012, but failed in the primary both times.
He was arrested December 23, 2025, charged with physically and sexually abusing at least one child. He is charged with eleven felony counts: one count of felony child abuse, one count of aggravated child abuse, and nine counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor.
A social worker reported called the Powell Police Department and reported that a juvenile had said she was sexually abused. An investigator interviewed the juvenile, another child, and an adult witness. The investigator also was given a photo of the child with a black eye.
