Rev. Stephen Aiken was the founder of the YouthQuest Christian counseling agency. Two girls who came to him for help were molested by him. He was charged with two counts of corrupting a minor and convicted. The jury deadlocked on indecent assault. His denials rested on his claim that as a religious leader he had to be more circumspect and moral than others so he could not possibly have done this.
Not only a religious leader, Rev. Aiken was also active in politics and returned to politics after his conviction. He also moved to Arizona. He’s been a spokesperson for the Traditional Values Coalition. In 2006, he was a campaign manager for Randy Graf, a Republican contending for the nomination in Arizona’s 8th Congressional district and who lost to Gabby Giffords in the general.
