1519: Shawn Myers

Shawn Patrick Myers was elected to the Grove City City Council representing the Third Ward in 2012. He won reelection to his fourth term in 2023 but was arrested before he was sworn in. He has been replaced by an appointee.

He was arraigned for involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, corruption of minors, disseminating explicit sexual material with a minor, and endangering the welfare of children. The child was nine years old.

1478: Dustin Weir

Child Indecency, Improper Conduct or Comments

Dustin Weir is the Sheriff of Somerset County, Pennsylvania. He began as a deputy in 2001 and became sheriff in 2021 after the death of the previous sheriff. All across the country, law enforcement officers are encouraged to participate in the “Shop With a Cop” program that provides back-to-school clothes and supplies or Christmas gifts to low-income children. Weir is accused of lewd behavior with the 15-year-old girl who was operating the photo booth at the event. He’s been charged with corruption of a minor.

1464: Nick Fountain

Nick Fountain was a Shippack Township Supervisor in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. After he was appointed to the Board in 2013, he won re-election and has been vice-chair for twelve years. He ran unsuccessfully for the Pennsylvania House in 2018 and Senate in 2022. He is also the owner of two daycare centers. He was charged with soliciting a minor and soliciting child sexual abuse material from a fourteen-year-old child in Maryland.

1427: Matt McCullough

Sexual Battery

Matt McCullough ran for the 10th Senate District in Pennsylvania in 2022. He lost the general election, though it didn’t help when voters found out that he was arrested in Nashville for public intoxication. According to the police report, police were called after he “grabbed and squeezed and employee’s breast.”

1419: Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown is a former NFL player who spoke on behalf of Donald Trump for President and attacked Kamala Harris because women are too emotional. He was accused of sexual assault and rape by his former trainer. They reached a settlement but the terms have not been disclosed.

1415: Kurt Schenk

Grooming, Sexual Assault, Sexual Battery

Kurt W. Schenk was a city councilman for Coatesville, Pennsylvania as well as pastor of a local church. A local blogger wrote up a history of his public activities wondering why local media were not covering his arrest for sexually assaulting a woman who is intellectually disabled.

1407: Daniel Merrick

Child Sexual Abuse Material

Daniel Merrick is a Messianic Jewish (Christian) pastor, musician, former Christian television host, and a songwriter in Smethport, Pennsylvania. He has also been charged with more than 800 counts relating to child sexual abuse material. Specifically, he is charged with 570 counts of child pornography — involving indecent contact, second-degree felonies; 316 counts of child pornography — involving nudity, third-degree felonies; and one count of criminal use of a communications facility, a third-degree felony.

1397: Stephen Kamnik

Stephen Kamnik, a Pennsylvania State Police Corporal, has been suspended without pay after an Internal Affairs investigation into misuse of state property (his computer.) However, when they searched his computer, he ended up with 608 criminal charges including the creation of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and the sexual abuse of children.

1342: Dave McCormick

Organizational Cover-Up

Dave McCormick is the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, hoping to unseat Sen. Bob Casey. Previously, he was the CEO of Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund. During his tenure, the fund drew criticism for investing in companies that produced fentanyl or that had ties do authoritarian regimes such as the Saudi royal family and the Chinese military.

1335: Mike Vereb

Sexual Harassment

A woman who worked for him in the administration resigned after two months. She alleged he made sexual advances and made lewd comments about co-workers and a state senator. Her allegations included retaliatory attacks on her performance when she refused an affair with him. The Governor’s Office settled with a payment of $295,000.
