Stephen Kamnik, a Pennsylvania State Police Corporal, has been suspended without pay after an Internal Affairs investigation into misuse of state property (his computer.) However, when they searched his computer, he ended up with 608 criminal charges including the creation of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and the sexual abuse of children.
While on duty he he is alleged to have used his work computer to create CSAM with AI, he went into the women’s locker room and took pictures, secretly filmed people, and using a restricted database to get pictures of people. He also recorded people he met while on duty such a women who were victims of domestic violence and assault. He would film them and order them to stick out their tongues, photos he would use in deepfake sexual abuse videos. When they searched his home they also found a gun reported missing in a burglary.

- 4 of those counts for use of general unlawful uses and 24 specific counts regarding 24 female victims
- 517 counts of unlawful duplication
- 35 counts of interception, disclosure or use of wire, electronic or oral communications
- 9 counts of criminal trespass
- 7 counts of official oppression
- 6 counts of invasion of privacy,
- 1 count of receiving stolen property (of a firearm)
- 1 count of misapplication of entrusted property
- 1 count of unlawful use of an audio or video device in court
- 1 count of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence
