Wesley Dingus was the Republican Mayor of Butler, Ohio. He resigned in late February, 2026, shortly after his arrest for voyeurism. He was filmed sniffing a minor girl’s panties while rubbing himself. And not just once.
A video showing an adult man going through a child’s bedroom and sniffing her underwear was sent to Children’s Services and they called the Sheriff’s office to report it.
When the child was interviewed she said she was suspicious that he was going in her room and set up a camera to find out. She discovered he went into her room about fifteen minutes after she left for school. He did the same the next day, smelling her worn underwear and rubbing himself.
Another girl in the home believes he did the same in her room, though there is no video. She noticed her underwear moved from the bottom of the basket to the top. After reviewing the video, they charged Dingus with voyeurism.
He also has several charges for some vigilantism when he allegedly drove over a man who was wanted for violating parole
