Jeffrey Bedwell was a pastor at Chets Creek Church in Jacksonville, Florida. He was arrested in 2021, accused of grooming and sexually assaulting a child since she was twelve until she was seventeen. He got to know her when she was twelve and began seriously grooming her when she was thirteen. When she was fourteen, he began raping her. He raped her until she was seventeen.
Anastasia Dawson was a ward youth leader at an LDS church in Hamilton, Missouri. In February, 2023, she was charged with seven felony sexual abuse crimes involving a sixteen-year-old minor. She has been charged with 2nd degree statutory sodomy, 2nd degree statutory rape, abuse or neglect of a child, 1st degree endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of 4th degree child molestation.
Chad Rider was a youth pastor at the Denison Church of the Nazarene. Together with David Pettigew, he was convicted of producing child sexual exploitation material. They used secret cameras to film children bathing and dressing.
Scott Christner was a youth pastor at First Baptist Church in Goshen, Indian. He led a group of pre-teen boys called The Olympians. In 2019, one boy came forward and alleged he touched him inappropriately. He was arrested and four more boys came forward. He was charged with ten felony counts of child molestation and two felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor. The children were ages all under fourteen when they were molested.
Adam Jeremy Lewis was the Youth Director at Rock Mountain Lakes Baptist as well as a middle schhemool teacher and wrestling coach. In January 2023, he was arrested and charged with possession child sexual abuse material. The church and school placed him on leave. His church posted on a now deleted Facebook post that he and his family need prayers “in a major way.”
Deric Wallace Peacock was a youth pastor at South Hopewell Church of God. He was suspended in 2014 after being convicted of a procuring sex acts by computer of an individual believed to be under the age of 15. He was out on probation when he was arrested and charged with distributing child sex abuse material.
Dustin Spillers was the PTA president as well as the youth pastor at the conservative Abba’s House church. He was involved in youth programs at two churches. In January 2023, he was arrested and charged with molesting two boys, specifically with three counts of sexual molestation and one count of sexual battery assault.
Bradley Wayne Dixon was the dorm director at San Marcos Baptist Academy. In 2019, he was convicted of sexually abusing students. It took the jury five hours to convict him of two charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, one charge of sexual performance by a child and four counts of indecency with a child.
His lawyer, even after the conviction, said that the boys were lying to be able to sue. He was convicted in 2000 and is serving a 95 year sentence.
Lawrence Hopkins was a pastor in Baytown, Texas. Before that he was a youth pastor. He was caught in an online sting by a police officer pretending to be a minor.
Robert Shiflet was a youth pastor in Denton, Texas, and in Little Rock, Arkansas. He took groups of kids on camping trips, crossing state lines. While camping, he isolated one of the children and sexually assaulted here. Another was assaulted on the field trip bus.
