Anastasia Dawson was a ward youth leader at an LDS church in Hamilton, Missouri. In February, 2023, she was charged with seven felony sexual abuse crimes involving a sixteen-year-old minor. She has been charged with 2nd degree statutory sodomy, 2nd degree statutory rape, abuse or neglect of a child, 1st degree endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of 4th degree child molestation.

She hired the girl to work on her farm doing chores and caring for her children. She often let the girl stay overnight which is when the abuse is alleged to have begun. The abuse continued until she helped the girl run away from home, which is when her actions were revealed.

Update: She pleaded guilty on July 12th, Sentencing is scheduled for October.
