1402: Judd Stone

Judd Stone was the Solicitor General of Texas. He defended the Texas abortion bounty to the Supreme Court by arguing that just knowing an abortion takes place causes such distress that it rises to a “tort of outrage.” Not only can someone whose feelings are hurt by hearing about an abortion, they can sue anyone involved, no matter how tenuous the link, for example. a taxi driving taking someone to a clinic. That guy. He was forced to resign amid allegations of sexual harassment from two women. The allegations are lurid as you can deduce from the headlines in the news stories. 1356: Bobby Cheshire

Bobby Cheshire, former Republican County Commissioner in Angelina County, Texas, has been sentenced to eighty years in prison after being found guilty of five counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. He was already in prison, serving a four-year sentence for familial violence.

1317: Ryan Ivy

Ryan Don Ivy was a youth minister at Bluff Dale Baptist Church and an employee at Bluff Dale Independent School District was accused of online solicitation involving text messages he sent to a 13-year-old middle school student. Incredibly, despite being shown the text messages he sent including text acknowledging he could go to jail for what he was doing, eleven of twelve juries wanted to acquit him. One juror, thankfully, held firm and the trial ended in a mistrial.

1316: Luke Cunningham

Luke Cunningham served as youth pastor at Turning Point Community Church in Lubbock, Texas, and, more recently, at Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury, Texas. That is where he was working when he was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a minor. Lakeside’s pastor contacted his previous employers to let them know he was being investigated and had been arrested. He was terminated.

1313: Robert Morris

Robert Morris was until recently the pastor of Gateway, a Dallas megachurch. He was also a spiritual advisor to Donald Trump and an influential Trump booster.

He recently confessed “When I was in my early 20s, I was involved in inappropriate sexual behavior with a young lady in a home where I was staying.”

The young lady was twelve. He did not have an affair with her. He raped her and continued the sexual abuse for four and a half years. She described the abuse herself:

In June, 2023, he was charged with six counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact. These charges allege the abuse continued over eleven years. In May, 2024, he was convicted on all six counts and has been sentenced to 42 years in prison, about half what the jury recommended. He is 79. He could get parole in 21 years when he is 100 years old.

1214: Trammell Crow

Trammel Crow is the brother of the Supreme Court donor Harlan Crow, but he’s also a significant donor to Republicans in his own right, giving over $3 million over the years. Two women have accused him of financing a sex trafficking operation in which they were drugged, physically abused, threatened and forced to perform sex acts. They claim Crow played a critical role in financing the operation.
