1277: Dan Rodimer

Murder

Dan Rodimer was a Trump-endorsed Congressional candidate in 2020. In 2021, he ran in a special election Republican primary in Texas and got 3% of the vote. He also lost his 2018 race for the Nevada State Senate. He is a former professional wrestler with a history of at least three violent incidents, all at restaurants or clubs. He pled guilty to a misdemeanour on one of those cases and took anger management classes. They seem not to have worked as he got into another altercation on Oct 29, 2023. This time the person he is alleged to have attacked died from blunt force trauma.

1185: Joe Saggese

Familial Abuse & Violence

Joseph Saggese is a Republican candidate for Matawan Town Council. In late September, he was arrested and charged with assault and aggravated assault (for attempted strangulation of a domestic violence victim.) The other Republicans who are running for a different city council seat and for mayor have withdrawn their support of Saggese and now have endorsed an independent candidate.

Abuse of Power or Authority, Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment

He’s always been a creep, marrying his cousin, cheating on his wife, sexually harassing women. There’s an infamous scene in the second Borat movie. In January 2023, he was sued by a longtime employee who accused his of abuse of power, sexual assault and sexual harassment. According to her, he demanded sexual favors as part of her job. Of course, these allegations were overshadowed by her information about selling pardons.

900: Nathan Larson

Child Molestation, Grooming, Kidnapping

His politics were white nationalist, patriarchal, and misogynistic. He wanted to abolish age restrictions for marriage and laws against marital rape. He thinks white supremacy works. He was concerned about falling white birth rates because women were working. He thought incest should be legal. He threatened to kill the President in 2009 (Obama) and was serious enough he was sentenced to sixteen months. He ran pro-pedophile and incel web sites.

886: Patricia Kent

Patricia Kent was a teacher and ran a write-in campaign for county clerk/auditor in Washington County, Utah. Her message was pushing the Big Lie and promising accountable elections. She also talked about drag shows grooming children. She should know from grooming. She was allowed to resign her teaching job in 1996 after her inappropriate relationships…

879: Bud ‘Marty’ May

Rape

Bud ‘Marty’ May, who lost the race for South Dakota House District 27 to his mother, was arrested a week after the 2022 election and charged with rape. It happened in a bar bathroom. Police were called. When police arrived she had blood, dirt, and abrasions on her. May fled the scene. After he was detained, he claimed it was just a hug.

873: Joel Koskan

Child Molestation, Child Rape, Coercion

Joel Koskan was a Republican candidate for the South Dakota state senate in 2022. He was arrested in 2022 for grooming and raping a minor child who was a member of his family. It is alleged that he began grooming her as a young child. When she was 14, at bible camp, counselors discussed inappropriate touching and she told them about Koskan. A social worker was sent to do an interview but she did not cooperate. That was when he began to molest her. This continued for five years until she was 19. He was able to maintain control via surveillance cameras and GPS monitoring, limiting her social connections, even able to control her after she went away to school.

Rape Culture

An interview he did in 2018 did not help his campaigns. In it he made several jokes about women including laughing about women being killed during sex, saying he’s thought about it himself. He made a tasteless joke mocking the death of a woman, not a hypothetical, but an actual woman. He also likes to like pictures of underage girls on Instagram.

869: Charlie Pierce

Sexual Harassment

Charlie Pierce is the former mayor of Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula Borough and a Republican candidate for governor in the general election. His former Executive Assistant has sued him and the KPB, claiming she was subject to constant unwanted touching, sexual remarks, and advances. According to the suit, the KPB provided no way for her to report the harassment without reprisal.
