Tom Reed was a Congressman from New York. A woman accused him of sexual misconduct after he accosted her at a dinner in downtown Minneapolis. The woman was a lobbyist and was attending a fundraising event for a GOP candidate. She alleged that he rubbed her back, unsnapped her bra and stroked her thigh. A witness corroborated her allegations.
After denying the allegations, he then apologized and said he would not run for re-election. However, after a strong pressure campaign from he resigned.
