Steven Muñoz worked on Rick Santorum’s campaign and was hired by the Trump Administration for a job in the State Department making arrangements for official visits of foreign heads of state. He was a graduate of The Citadel, a military college.
While he was at The Citadel, five freshman claimed that Muñoz used his power as an upper classman, class president, and head of the campus Republicans to assault and grope them. One student reported that he woke up to Muñoz kissing him and grabbing his genitals. Another went to CPAC and claimed Muñoz jumped on him in bed and began jerking and bouncing on his back.
An investigation found that it is likely the assaults occurred but the local prosecutor decided not to prosecute.
