James Benjamin Gosnell, Jr. is a South Carolina Magistrate Judge, currently suspended after his arrest for possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) as well as creating CSAM. Gosnell previously drew national media attention when he presided over Charleston Church shooter Dylann Roof’s initial court appearance, after mentioning the nine people he murdered, Gosnell then claimed there were also victims on the other side. He’s been officially reprimanded in the past for showing favoritism when a fellow judge was arrested for DUI and for using a notorious racial epithet when talking to a Black defendant.
Gregg Hayden is a retired lieutenant at the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina. He was also the School Safety and Security Supervisor for Anderson School District Five. He was appointed to the Anderson County School District One Board in where he served from April to August, 2025, when he resigned after his arrest for criminal sexual conduct with minors. He also resigned from his position at Anderson Five.
Stephen Kopp was the director of EDUCamp, a Bob Jones University summer program and after-school program director at Bob Jones Academy, a K-12 school. Bob Jones is notorious for not allowing inter-racial dating until 2000, giving up its tax exemption rather than enter the modern era. Bob Jones advocates Christian Nationalism, an extremist ideology that is overtaking the Republican party. Kopp has been charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor who was just fifteen years old.
Robert J. (RJ) May, III, was a Republican member of the South Carolina State House of Representatives, but was suspended in June 2025 after his arrest for distribution of child sexual abuse material.
Erik Sickinger was a councilman in the city of Irmo, South Carolina. He stepped up to serve as mayor pro tem in 2023. In March, 2025, he was accused of grooming and assaulting a 15-year-old boy. Specifically, he was charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, second degree, and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and a charge of luring, enticing, or attempting to lure or entice children. R. J. May is a South Carolina State Representative. He is currently under investigation by the Department of Homeland Security Special Investigations Unit and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division related to child sexual exploitation materials. Electronic devices and files were seized after a search warrant on his home. He has not been charged.
David Templet was a police officer in Latta, South Carolina, until his resignation after criminal charges were filed accusing him of sexually abusing an eleven-year-old child.
William “Bill” Oswald was a Baptist pastor at Dunn’s Chapel in Congaree, South Carolina. He was convicted in early December, 2023, of sexually assaulting his daughters beginning when they were eight from around 1996 to 2001.
Reagan Anderson was an elementary school teacher at Holly Hill Academy, a private religious K-12 school in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. In November, she was arrested for sexual battery of a minor student, a high school football player. A coach as well as some students saw a photo of her on a student’s phone as well as some Snapchat conversation that alarmed the coach. Allegedly, Anderson sent the student nude photos on Snapchat. The school contacted police on November 8th.
