Ron Johnson is a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin. Before politics, he was on the Finance Council of the Green Bay Diocese. He worked hard to protect the Diocese from accountability for protecting pedophiles over the years. He argued that employers of pedophiles should not be financially responsible for the actions of their employees. You can hear his testimony out of his own mouth.
When his aide reported to Johnson, his chief of staff, and party official that she was sexually assaulted by Wisconsin state Sen. Bill Kramer, they told no one. Kramer went on to progress into leadership and assault two more women. He defended not reporting as merely following her wishes, but he didn’t have to silently let Kramer build his career.
His voting record is consistently anti-victim. He’s opposed anti-trafficking bills and bills extending or eliminating the statute of limitations for child sex abuse. Insidiously, he added anti-abortion amendment to a justice for victims of trafficking bill to kill it. So, he opposed justice for victims and tried to exploit their abuse to advance his anti-woman agenda.
