190: Milo Yiannopolous

Milo Yiannopolous dropped out of college to pursue journalism. He gravitated to the far-right and began writing for Breitbart, the internet sewer known for race-baiting and Islamophobia. He was mainly focused on tech-journalism where he perfected his penchant for hate-mongering during the GamerGate controversy. He did college tours where he gave transphobic speeches and even outed students. He was active in the amplification of the alt-right and caught soliciting story ideas from white supremacists and neo-Nazis. In the Trumpian world of hate and authoritarianism, he was sure to rise. But then he said that sex between an adult man and a thirteen-year-old boy could be consensual.

Yes, this alt-right darling was defending pedophilia on an internet live stream.

In the clip, Yiannopoulos said the age of consent was “not this black-and-white thing” and that relationships “between younger boys and older men … can be hugely positive experiences”.

He went on to suggest that sex between “younger boys” and older men could be a “coming-of-age relationship … in which those older men help those younger boys discover who they are”.

He resigned from Bretibart and his many other gigs and invitations dried up. He whined that he was broke. He declared he had completed gay conversion therapy. No word on being converted from anti-Semitism, white supremacy, and Islamophobia. He recently went to work as an intern for Marjorie Taylor Greene.
