Mike Folmer was a Pennsylvania state senator who resigned the day after he was charged with possessing child sexual abuse material (child pornography.) He was in the first year of his fourth term, having served twelve years. He was charged with possession the child sexual abuse material and criminal use of a communications facility. He pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to up to two years but was released in 2021 on parole after one year. He remains on probation for eight years.
