Cameron “Cam” Cotrill was the media minister at Center Pointe Church in Ocean Springs. He is also a software developer. He was arrested with nearly 9,900 child sexual abuse images on three computer hard drives. He was charged with possessing and distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material.
Pastor and family rallied to his defense starting a Go-Fund-Me that was promptly taken down as violating the TOS. The pastor wrote a letter urging Cotrill be granted bail as he was a “man of integrity.” His family insisted this was a malware attack and that he was not guilty.
In December, 2023, he pleaded guilty to the second count, possession. Sentencing is set for April 12, 2024
