Justin Rhodes was the pastor of Big Creek Baptist Church in Soso, Mississippi. He also served for a time as Vice-President and as President of the Baptist Missionary Association of America, an organization of more than 1100 churches. He was relieved of his duties as pastor and president due to a “moral failure” in 2021. What the moral failure was is unknown, but in 2025, he was arrested for molesting a child. The incident is reported to have happened on a choir trip to Disney World.

Cameron “Cam” Cotrill was the media minister at Center Pointe Church in Ocean Springs. He is also a software developer. He was arrested with nearly 9,900 child sexual abuse images on three computer hard drives. He was charged with possessing and distributing Child Sexual Abuse Material.

1205: Kyle Hilleary

Child Exploitation, Sexual Exploitation of a Child

On November 7th, 2023, he was arrested for sexual exploitation of a child. He was released on $250,000 bond the same day. The church released a public statement announcing that he had been suspended.

1160: Tyler Selby

Tyler Selby was hired as Music Minister at Robinwood Baptist Church. He was arrested for producing Child Sexual Abuse Material. Unlike most organizations that have employed a predator, Robinwood did not erase all evidence of his existence and instead posted an announcement on its site stating he had been fired and there is no evidence he preyed on children at the church.

Dale Berry is the mayor of Magee, Mississippi. In August, 2022, his wife filed domestic violence charges against him. He admitted hitting her and had no plan to resign. He said he plans to plead self defense and accused his wife of cheating on him.

743: Ronnie Hale

Ronnie Hale was an alderman in Southaven, Mississippi. He resigned after he was indicted for transporting child sexual abuse material across state lines, from Tennessee to Mississippi. The CSAM was found when he was arrested and searched for offering a woman money for sex.

Alan Moran was serving his second term as a city councilman in Diamondhead, Mississippi, when he was appointed mayor pro tempore in July 2021. He seemed to following his father’s career. His father is State Senate Phillip Moran.

Then he was arrested and charged with two misdemeanors, simple assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. This seems inadequate to the circumstances. Even Moran remarked at the time, “That’s it?”

535: Brett Favre

Brett Favre was a famous and successful quarterback. He played for the Green Bay Packers during the prime of his career. A Trump supporter, he has close ties to many Republicans. He’s been implicated in welfare fraud in Mississippi, knowingly taking money intended for the poor. Favre is happy to rob poor children so long as he doesn’t get caught, so it’s no surprise that he also has a long history of sexual harassment and misconduct.

Robert Foster is a former state representative in Mississippi. He ran for governor but lost the Republican primary with less than 18% of the vote. Shamefully, he would not allow women to cover his campaign without a chaperone. He said someone could take a picture of him with a woman, his rivals could use it to smear him. “Out of respect for his wife” women had to have chaperones.

390: Doug McLeod

Familial Abuse & Violence

Doug McLeod was arrested in 2017 for hitting his wife in the face. She claimed it was because she didn’t undress quickly enough when he wanted sex. There is police video of her bloody face and her claims, while crying, that this happens often when he drinks. He is still in office at least until 2024 as he ran unopposed.
