363: Bo Dresner

Bo Dresner was a Republican county official, sergeant of arms, and a precinct chair in Hays County, Texas. He has been charged with aggravated sexual assault of one victim over the course of seven years. The four children in his custody have been removed. Aggravated sexual assault means the alleged assailant caused serious bodily harm, used fear or threats of violence, flourishing of weapons, to coerce them, or gives them something that impairs their ability to resist.

According to the affidavit the victim was under 14 and was given “medicine” before she was assaulted.

UPDATE: Bo Dresner pled guilty to all 65 counts and was sentenced to 410 years in prison. It was learned in the investigation that he pled guilty to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old in Minnesota. Also, one of the children he abused came forward in 2012 but it was not fully investigated and the child was sent back to live with Dresner.
