Michael T. McCourt was the Douglas County GOP County Chairman as well as the East Wenatchee Water and Sewer Commissioner. His wife, Sandra, sat on the East Wenatchee City Council from 2004 to 2018. He was sentenced to 51 months for molesting an 8-year-old boy. The statute of limitations had run out on several other incidents that go back as far as the 1980s. He served 45 of his 51 months.
