Mark Collins was a high school math teacher at St. Helens until his retirement. After an investigation of sexual abuse allegations at the high school, Collins was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual abuse in the 2nd degree and one count of attempted sexual abuse in the 2nd degree.
The police report that school personnel files showed that abuses had been reported and noted in files, but not reports to law enforcement or child protection were made despite all educators being mandatory reporters.
