1175: Gregory Norton

Gregory Norton was a former youth pastor at Oak Hill Church: Church of the Nazarene and the Westside church located on Old Middleburg Road. He was arrested in September, 2023 and charged with sexual battery of a child he met through church and another person he met as a nurse at a children’s hospital. In October , 2023, when he was charged with ten additional counts of sexual battery of a child older than twelve and less than eighteen while he had custodial authority.

1174: Matthew Dessert

Matthew Dessert was a sheriff’s deputy in Stanislaus County, California. He was charged with continual sexual abuse of a child, lewd & lascivious acts with a minor, penetration with a foreign object of a victim under the age of 18, sexual battery & physical abuse of a child.

1143: Chris Marsh

Christopher Garrett Marsh was the Chair of the Florence County District Five Board of Trustees. In 2021, he was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a victim under age 11, two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a victim 11 to 14, and two counts of third degree sexual conduct with a minor. The victim was first assaulted in 2015 when she was five and the abuse continued until February 2021. The child’s mother was also arrested and charged with neglect because she was knew about the assault in 2015 and did nothing to protect her child after she was assured it was a one-time thing.

1136: Scott Owen

Scott D. Owen was a therapist in Salt Lake City. Mormon church leaders often referred gay church members to him for counseling within the practice of the church. That used to include conversion therapy but now urges celibacy, the kinder, gentler homophobia. A man referred to him in 2015 said that as part of therapy he would tell him to undress and touch him. He said the touching was part of the therapy.

1125: Ryan Kissell

Ryan Kissell was a special education teacher and football coach at Nodaway Valley Community School District in Greenfield, Iowa. He lived in Creston, 22 miles south. He had also taught there and at two other schools in the area.

He was arrested August 16, 2023, and charged with 21 counts of second-degree sexual abuse, 24 counts of lascivious acts with a child, and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child. The most recent alleged incident was July 5th.

1118: Cole Wagner

Marty DeCole (Cole) Wagner is a former employee of the Alabama Department of Education. He was active in the Young Republicans. He also spent three years working for AL Governor Ainsworth. He is also the former Executive Director of the committee Alliance for a Pro-Life Alabama that proffered a constitutional amendment that said there was no right to abortion in Alabama. That amendment allowed for the immediate banning of abortion in Alabama. Cole spoke of the need to defend those who could not defend himself. In his now-deleted Twitter account he joked about Joe Biden’s “inappropriate hugs.”

1116: Ray Uttaro

Terry Rudisill was the pastor at Cornerstone Independent Baptist Church in Lincolnton, NC, He was arrested in July 2023 for two counts of statutory sex offense with a child and three counts of indecent liberties with a child. This was for assaults reported in 2016 when the victim was fifteen. The delay was due to jurisdictional issues. The case was reported to police who had no jurisdiction where the crime took place, but the case was not transferred to the Sheriff’s office until this year.
