837: Peter Thiel

Rape Culture

Peter Thiel is the founder of PayPal. In 1995, he co-wrote a book with David O. Sacks where they summed up date rape as “seductions that are later regretted.” It’s called “The Diversity Myth” and is an argument against diversity and speech codes and efforts to mitigate white supremacy.

833: John Grant

Enabling, Organizational Cover-Up, Rape Culture

John Grant is the pastor of Calvary Gospel Church in Madison. He elevated himself to bishop in 2015. He is also accused of abetting child molesters in his church by shaming the children and women and enforcing their silence to remain in church. He made child rape victims apologize to the church for being raped.

828: Chuck Phelps

Organizational Cover-Up, Rape Culture

Chuck Phelps was the pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in New Hampshire. Now he is a pastor in Indiana. He attended Bob Jones University. In 1997, Tina Anderson was fifteen years old and babysat for Ernest Willis who was thirty-nine at the time. She became pregnant and gave the baby up for adoption and Willis…

824: Tom Horne

Enabling, Rape Culture

Tom Horne is currently the Arizona State Superintendent of Public Instruction. During his 2022 campaign, he defended hiring former Arizona Rep. David Stringer for his campaign. He didn’t just hire him and defend it, he made the false claim that Stringer was proven innocent.

822: Robert Karnes

Rape Culture

He also has some bizarre views on child molestation. Sen. Karnes opposed a rape and incest exception to an abortion ban because he seems to think the rapist will pressure them to abort to get rid of the evidence. He also seems to think that since child victims of pedophiles are groomed to think there is a relationship, then they should not be allowed to get an abortion because they don’t think of it as rape when it’s happening. “You know the dynamic in these relationships quite often is that the child has a very romanticized view of what’s happening. … They think that this is their boyfriend,” he said.

811: Ryan White AKA Jon McGreevey

Rape Culture

Ryan White used the name Jon McGreevey when he ran in the Republican primary for U. S. Senate. He got 6% of the vote which is more than he deserved. He concocted an elaborate story about sex trafficking that was utterly false. He claimed an older adult male was in the business with a young girl, 10-12 years of age, forcing the child to perform sexual acts on male customers. He then made some video ads with a candidate for sheriff talking about how he foiled abuse. He claimed he worked at an adult bookstore as part of a law enforcement sting.

806: Dave Yost

Rape Culture

Dave Yost is the Attorney General of Ohio. After news reports of a 10-year-old having to travel out of Ohio to get an abortion after she was made pregnant by rape, he took it upon himself to deny that it ever happened. I wonder if the man arrested for raping her claim in his defense that the Attorney General said he does not exist.

802: Greg Murphy

Rape Culture

Greg Murphy has represented North Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District since 2019. He got national attention when he responded to the Dodd decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, defending a ban on all abortions, including in the case of rape and incest. He tweeted “No one forces anyone to have sex.” A lot of people don’t believe rape can happen, but they seldom say it right out loud. He deleted the tweet, but did he delete the bias behind it?

764: Visible Music College

Rape Culture, Retaliation

Visible Music College is so completely captured by rape culture, it punishes women who are raped for being raped. According to Mara Louk, she reported to a school administrator that she had been raped in her off-campus apartment. She expect help filing a police report and a steps to prevent further contact with the man she claims raped her. The school first said they could do nothing since it was off-campus. They would not even remove the student from classes she was taking.
