David Lynn Richards was the pastor of My Father’s House in Lenoir City, Tennessee. When his adopted daughter was sixteen years old, she told her guidance counselor that her father put her hand down his pants. The next day she had a forensic interview and revealed he had been raping her for two years. While he denied it and said it was motivated by defiance. However, police found his seminal fluid that matched his DNA on her bed frame.
654: Jack Strain

Jack Strain was the Sheriff of St. Tammany Parish in Louisiana. He was elected in 1995 as a Democrat but switched to the GOP in 2003. In 2015, he was defeated in an election for his sixth term. He was accused of raping four boys. There were five victims. He was convicted two counts of aggravated incest, four counts of aggravated rape, misconduct with a child, and sexual battery. Other victims contacted the prosecutor but were not needed for the trial. Strain asked judge to set aside the conviction, but that did not happen. He was sentenced to four life sentences with no parole.

He recorded videos in his Marine Corps uniform under the handle July4Patriot and was described as representing Oath Keepers in event materials. Of course, they tried to distance themselves when he was charged with and convicted of raping his six-year-old daughter.

Chris Simcox worked for Doug Ducey. He ran against John McCain in the Arizona Republican primary. He argued McCain was not conservative enough. Simcox founded the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps to patrol the southern border. Initially, they claimed to only work to give Border Patrol evidence and tips for them to follow up. However, they radicalized, promised to go to the border “locked and loaded,” and like many grifting organizations raised money for a border wall they never built.

Duggar also worked for the Family Research Council, a sanctimonious anti-gay organization. He molested five girls and his parents knew and covered it up, even though some of those he molested were his sisters. Even though he knew his own son was a molester, Jim Bob Duggar, his father, said “rape and incest represent heinous crimes and as such should be treated as capital crimes.”
