Exposing the Corruption of the "Family Values" Party
Todd Kincannon was the Executive Director of the Republican Party. He was arrested in 2015 for domestic violence when his wife called in fear for her life. He claimed it was a side effect of his cold medicine benzonatate.
In 2018, he was arrested for killing his mother’s dog and terrorizing his mother. His father called the police. He may be mentally ill. He was also a Twitter troll who tweeted things like this:
Chris Hoy ran as a Republican for Maine House District 33. He was asked to drop out by Republicans and Democrats due to his criminal history including violating a protective order, two domestic violence convictions, According to court records, he kicked a pregnant family member in the stomach, knocked her down, and grabbed her by the throat.
Mark Bedell ran as the Republican candidate for a Maine House seat. He was arrested on aggravated assault charges and was accused of domestic violence. He was held without bail. The Maine GOP asked him to step down.
Elliott Broidy was the Republican National Committee’s Finance Chair until he resigned after a woman sued him and alleged he physically abused her. She also alleged the anti-choice Broidy pressured her to have an abortion. When this became public, he suspended payments to her because they had a nondisclosure agreement, but she disputes that she disclosed the situation. She took him to court and the judge dismissed the abuse allegations because they do not apply to the question of breach of contract.
Rory Ogle was elected to the New Mexico House of Representatives in 2002 but resigned in 2005 after he was arrested for domestic violence and assault after an altercation with his wife. He was alleged to have thrown a headboard and a mop handle at his wife while drunk, injuring her. She called from a nearby grocery where she ran for safety. The headboard hit her hand and may have broken it. His wife said she was divorcing him. He did this in front of this three children, all less than ten years old.
Andrew Puzder was the CEO of CKE Foods, the company that owns Hardee’s and Carl Jr.’s. He was a big Trump supporter and donated several hundred thousand to Trump’s campaign. He was someone Trump wanted to make Secretary of Labor. His appointment required Senate confirmation and there was heavy opposition in the Senate. He withdrew his nomination. One of the many reasons his nomination was opposed was that his ex-wife accused him of domestic violence on the Oprah Winfrey show though she later recanted.
Bradley S. DeFlumeri was the vice-president of the University of Massachusetts Republican Club in 2009. A woman he had a relationship with sought protection from him. She was attending Mount Holyoke and pursued restraining orders against him. Mount Holyoke sought to ban him from their campus. Because she was a member of the Republican Club also, he was banned from their offices to comply with their restraining order. When served with the order, he immediately violated it by making several calls to the woman and was arrested.
He also has a violent personal past. He was arrested in 2010 for domestic violence, assaulting his ex-girlfriend while visiting his daughter at her home. He pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor domestic battery charge. The charges were dismissed in 2012 after he completed anger management counselling.
Brad Gerten was a Republican candidate for the Minnesota state House when he was arrested for trying to strangle his step-son. A fight over pizza! He was booked for domestic assault and strangulation.
Will Folks was Governor Mark Sanford’s spokesperson. In July 2005, he resigned on a Friday, planning to open his own political consulting firm. That night he kicked the door in at the home he shared with his fiancée and pushed her down, leaving her bruised. The resignation had been announced earlier and could have nothing to do with the incident. A warrant was issued for criminal domestic violence. He turned himself in on Saturday. Though he originally denied the charge but he changed his plea to guilty in what he claimed was a chivalric desire to protect her from private details that would come out in a trial.
He was given a 30-day suspended sentence.
He is also the blogger who claimed to have an affair with Nikki Haley which she denied. Now he runs the web site FITSnews.com which claims to be independent and unapologetic. It certainly is as happy to highlight Republican corruption as Democratic corruption so it is no FOX or Breitbart disinformation site.
